Low Efficiency Disposable Filters

With MERV ratings 1-4, these low efficiency filters are the ideal solution for increased air flow, protecting your equipment, and keeping costs down. Disposable panel filters are designed to withstand the demands of tough industrial and commercial applications. They perform best in conditions where large quantities of lint, dust, and other particles are present.


Medium Efficiency Filters

Filters that meet the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value (MERV) ratings between MERV-8 and MERV-13 may be considered Medium Efficiency.

MERV-8 filters are most commonly used in both commercial and residential applications, as they provide an excellent balance of efficiency and longer life compared to a disposable filter. Higher or lower MERV-rated filters will depend on the application.


High Efficiency Filters

Filters that meet the highest standards for air filtration, where precise control of air quality is paramount. These applications might include clean rooms, surgical centers, food production facilities, pharmaceutical production, and specialty manufacturing.

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) publishes guidelines using Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values (MERV). Filters must achieve MERV-13 to MERV-16 values to be considered High Efficiency.


HEPA & ULPA Filters

Filters with a performance above MERV-16 are governed by the High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) and Ultra Low Penetration Air (ULPA) standards. HEPA filters must meet a minimum efficiency of 99.97% on 0.3 micrometer particles. ULPA filters must meet the even more rigorous efficiency of 99.999% on 0.3 micrometer (DOP) particles.

Please note that the use of High Efficiency, HEPA, and ULPA filters requires specialized equipment rated for this high level of air filtration.


V-Bank Filters

Created to withstand high velocities and turbulence, the V-Bank filter is excellent for most types of air handling systems. This filter yields exceptionally low pressure drop (.30”) at high efficiency levels (65%/MERV-11 through 95%+/MERV-16). The rigid frame construction prevents damage to the filter media.

The frame dimensions, depth, and filter performance of the EFS V4 Bank meet the requirements of standard air handling systems. The filter element is free of metal parts, which eliminates corrosion and punctures of the media. The EFS V4 Bank is lightweight, is easy to handle, and provides for low-cost transportation and disposal.

The EFS V4 Bank Filter sports synthetic material rated at ASHRAE 65% (MERV-11) through 95+% (MERV-16). The non-shedding synthetic fibers are specifically designed to resist moisture and chemicals, prolonging the life of the media and resisting bacterial growth.

Baffle & Metal Mesh Filters

Our line of metal mesh filters is offered most commonly in lightweight aluminum, but also in galvanized steel. The aluminum filter consists of multiple layers of aluminum expanded material, expanded through specific feeds to assure maximum filtering and internal loading capabilities. The media is enclosed in a lightweight aluminum frame, mitered and secured at one corner by rivets. The filter is designed for applications such as light industrial, commercial, schools, office buildings and homes where a lightweight permanent filter is recommended.
